Getting to Marazion

Marazion – we’re easy to find!

Although, we’re located down in the far west of Cornwall, we’re surprisingly easy to get to.

Travelling by road

We’re easy to find, just head down the A30 through Devon and Cornwall. Just before Penzance you will see the Newtown Roundabout sign. Ignore your Sat Nav and take the second exit from the roundabout. At the T junction turn left, keep St Michael’s Mount on your right and you will soon be in Marazion.

Car Parks in Marazion

Most of Marazion is regulated by double yellow lines, so that on street parking is very limited. All Marazion car parks are ‘pay and display’ and monitored 24/7 by ANPR CCTV. If your stay is for less than 3 hours there is a short stay car park in the town centre adjacent to the slipway, accessed opposite the Tudor Fish & Chip Shop. If you are visiting the Mount or staying for more than 3 hours we recommend using the Long Stay ‘Folly Field’ car park as the best place to leave your vehicle. If the Folly Field car park is full, follow signs to one of the overflow car parks in the field on the opposite side of the road. 

Weekly tickets are available from the car park machine at a discounted price (currently £50) for visitors staying in town on holiday.

Travelling by rail

Our nearest station is Penzance. We have a reliable, regular GWR mainline service linking us directly to London, the Midlands, northern England and Scotland. A sleeper service is available from London Paddington to Penzance (and back) so you can let the train take the strain and wake up refreshed with the view of our gorgeous bay outside your cabin window. Penzance train station is next to the bus station and taxi rank for onward travel to Marazion which is only 3 miles away.

Travelling by air

Newquay Airport is our closest airport and is about an hour away from Marazion. NQY currently serves Alicante, Belfast City, Frankfurt-Hahn, Birmingham, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, London Stansted, Newcastle, Doncaster Sheffield and Glasgow and Liverpool.

The nearest regional airport is at Exeter with wider connections. Car hire is available from both Newquay and Exeter airports.
